Yes, it's another 'innovation' in vinyl wrap, the chalkboard. It's vinyl underneath, with kind of a rough matte surface that you can write on with soft chalk, like sidewalk chalk.

I think it is more of "trying to be different." No one has a tC over there, so being the few to have one would be cool... Although, you wouldn't look cool, tCs always looked a bit out of proportion.
